Sunniva was born in Bergen, Norway in 1994 and picked up a pencil on day one (well nearly). She graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 2017 with a degree in Animation Production and has worked as a freelance character designer and illustrator since.
She has worked as a character concept artist on a range of animated movies, with titles including: Titina (2022), The Polar Bear King (2024), Captain Sabertooth and the Countess of Gral (2025) and on upcoming features such as The Magnificent Life of Marcel Pagnol (2025) and Flåklypa: From Paris to the Pyramids (2025).
Recently she started illustrating picture books, and in 2024 had two books released: Henrik Ibsens: An Enemy of the People written by Kåre Conradi and a new rendition of the classic norwegian folk tale The Fox´s Widow from the Asbjørnsen and Moe collection.
Her last collaboration was with the award winning author Marta Breen, where she illustrated the graphic novel Født Fri (Born Free). The book will be released in October 2025.
